Agriculture Business Council of Kansas City
The Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City is an association that advocates growth and awareness of the food, fiber, agri-science and related industries in the Kansas City region.
The Council was established in 2003 to enhance greater understanding about this important industry by joining together Kansas and Missouri agricultural organizations, agribusinesses and other key leaders. This alliance includes more than 300 individuals, businesses and organizations associated with the extensive agricultural and food industry including agricultural producers, producer group representatives, agribusiness, communications, legal, financial, education, farm equipment, natural resources, animal health, energy, food processing, crop input, state government agencies, biofuels, software technology, and more.
In 2019, the Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City selected Cultivated Conversations to assist with the Council’s communication efforts. The Cultivated Conversations team develops a monthly social media editorial calendar, social media graphics, schedules the social media posts on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Content includes information and notifications about the Council’s monthly events, Kansas City area news related to food and agriculture, member highlights, pop culture holidays, local events and more. At the end of each year, Cultivated Conversations presents the growth metrics from the year and sets goals to attain in the next year.
Since 2019 Cultivated Conversations has worked to increase the total social following of the Council by 50 percent. In 2021 the Council and Cultivated Conversations team shifted the focus from growing all social channels, to primarily growing the LinkedIn audience. From January 2021 to December 2022, the LinkedIn audience grew 84 percent.
Additionally, a goal was set to increase website traffic. From January 2021 to December 2022, web sessions increased by 47 percent.
